Nutty Chocolate Balls
We have a natural urge for something sweet on a regular basis. To avoid indulging in unhealthy sweets at such times, we prepare these divine and healthy Nutty Chocolate Balls, which we keep at our fingertips in the refrigerator. You can even enlist the help of your children in making them—and remember to enjoy these delectable treats in moderation.
We use plenty of dried fruits and nuts in this homemade recipe. They are a good source of iron and vitamins, low in processed sugar, and contain no cholesterol. Above all, this dish calls for nuts such as almonds, cashews, and walnuts, giving it a richly satisfying flavor and cake-like texture thanks to ground almonds.
You may use almond, cashew, or even hazelnut butter as the nut butter base for a Ferrero Rocher–style dessert. They also freeze quite well—I prepared a batch about three weeks ago and stored them in the freezer, but they kept disappearing, so I'll have to make another batch since there won't be enough left!
According to Ayurveda, excess Ama (toxic residues from improper digestion) accumulates in the body and causes various disorders. Cashew nuts, with their Ushna (hot) quality, help boost digestive fire, increase metabolism, and reduce Ama when consumed regularly.
Nutritional Benefits: These nutrient-dense treats combine almonds, cashews, and dried fruits to provide essential minerals like magnesium, iron, and potassium. The natural fruit sugars offer sustained energy, while the nuts provide healthy fats and protein for satiety.
