Simply Sentient is a platform dedicated to the sentient lifestyle — a way of living that honors the interconnection between body, mind, and soul. Rooted in the Ananda Marga tradition and the teachings of Shrii Shrii Anandamurti, we explore how ancient wisdom can be woven into the fabric of modern life.

The Teacher

Dada Shivananda

Dada Shivananda is a monk and acharya (spiritual teacher) in the Ananda Marga tradition. For decades he has traveled across Latin America, Europe, and Asia, sharing the practices of Rajadhiraja Yoga, neo-humanist philosophy, and the art of sentient cooking.

His approach is practical and rooted in service. Every recipe, every meditation guide, and every wellness article on this platform draws from his lived experience of integrating spiritual practice with everyday life.

Through Simply Sentient, Dada Shivananda offers these teachings freely, believing that access to transformative knowledge should not be limited by geography or economics.

Our mission is to make sentient living accessible to everyone — through plant-based nutrition, yoga, meditation, and community service. All content is offered as a public good, supported by the generosity of our community.
